What we offer:

Competitive Dance

Dance Connection is an award winning performance studio. We pride ourself on age appropriate costuming, music, and choreography in all of our competition groups. Our competitive dancers compete in at least two competitions a year and also dance in our Winter Concert and Spring Recital with the rest of the studio. Company auditions for 2023/2024 were in August. Click here for details on competitive groups.

Recreational Dance 3’s, 4/5s, 6-9, 10-12s

For children starting at age 3. For dancers looking to dance for fun or who aren’t ready for competitive dance yet. Dancers meet once a week and participate in the end of the year all studio Spring Recital. Learn dance etiquette, stretching techniques, choreography, and more. Depending on age dancers will learn: 3s Ballet, 4/5s Ballet & Tap, 6-9s and 10-12s Ballet, Tap, & Jazz.

Adult Dance Classes

Combo dance classes for adults of all ability levels consisting of ballet, tap, lyrical/contemporary, jazz, and musical theatre dance. Our Concert Adults are more advanced and participate in our Winter Concert and Spring Recital. Our Recital adult class is more relaxed and participates in Spring Recital. Both classes meet once weekly on Tuesday evenings. We are proud to be one of the only studios in the area to offer adult classes with performance opportunities. (High School students may also take these classes)

Adagio

We are the area’s premiere studio for adagio dance. These classes are open to boys/men. Girls/women by invitation only. This class focuses on basic technique, strength, timing, rhythm, and musicality associated with lifts, partnering, and ballroom dancing. Junior and Teen adagio is competitive and Adult adagio is recreational. All adagio dancers participate in Winter Concert and Spring Recital. Musical Theatre

We have musical theatre classes for all ages 6 - adults. Our Junior and Teen musical theatre classes are competitive and also participate in Winter Concert and Spring Recital. Our Adult musical theatre class is recreational and also participates in Winter Concert and Spring Recital. Our musical theatre classes consists of vocal coaching, acting, movement, and choreography.

Specialty Classes

Pre Pointe (Ages 11 - adult)

Students must have previous ballet experience and be enrolled in dance class. Students start with ballet shoes and work on ballet technique, strength and flexibility. Pointe shoes are by teacher approval ONLY and students must pass the shoe fitting before being allowed to wear pointe shoes.

Intermediate/Advanced Pointe (Ages 11- adult)

This class is by teacher approval and placement ONLY. This class may perform in Winter Concert and Spring Recital.
